How store Kelly/rotary hoses correctly?

Flexible oilfield hoses including kelly hose, rotary hose, jumper hoses, are high-pressure rubber hoses reinforced by high tensile spiral wires and textiles. The surrounding environments have important influences on the performances of the hose.

Five measures should be taken into consideration:

• Make sure the hoses are completely dry when stored.
• If possible, place the hoses in original shipping crate and be away from solvents, chemicals, oils, ozone and sunlight.
• Rodents and insects should be considered.
• Temperature should be maintained between 50°F to 70°F with a maximum limit of 100°F. When the temperature below zero, rubber will become stiff.
• Don't stack hose or anything heavy on top of it to avoid damage.
